Enchanted By Creation

As I arrive at the stony outcrop on the edge of Cod Pond I am in awe of the scenic wonder that lies before me. I am looking forward to spending some time here, enjoying this place and connecting with God.

As I sit on the edge of the pond writing, I realize that I am completely alone, yet there is life all around be. This creation is truly magnificent and must surely have been created to be enjoyed. The pond is beautiful. There are long green stems (about 10-20 inches) with purple flowers atop of them and yellow flowers floating all over the surface of the water. There are literally dozens of dragon flies dancing over the landscape. The gnats that plagued me on the hike in disappeared when I emerged at the pond. The sun is shining and there is a gentle cool breeze blowing. God is good!

Even so, my mind is already starting to drift toward my family as I long to share this with them. I need to focus my mind and spend some time in prayer and meditation.
