Some Down Time

We headed out to the Miller family farm for a few days. Today is the third day, and I’m just starting to wind down. It always takes me a while to wind down. Russ and I took Jared for a hike this morning to look for cherry trees. It was a great hike through the woods, much needed.
Russ and I had a chance to teach Jared what different trees look like and Russ told Jared all about what comes out of maple trees. We found several nice sized cherries that Russ could use on the new house they are building. We commenced the trip with some maple sugar candy for Jared back at the house.
I miss hiking. I can’t wait for the kids to get a little bit older so we can hike and camp more.

I love hiking! Counting the days until spring when I can hike more. I was in the Adirondacks visiting my grandmother for a few days and went snowshoeing in the woods. I can’t get enough of God’s creation.
